Police rush to burglary incident following 'alarm activation' at Crewe address
Cheshire Police officers 'swiftly attended' a reported burglary incident in Crewe - following an 'alarm activation' at a West End address.
The incident on Ford Lane happened at around 12:35am on Thursday 23 March.
A caller reported to police a burglary was taking place at the West End address following an 'alarm activation.'
Police quickly arrived at the scene but were unable to find any of the offenders.
Enquiries into the incident are 'ongoing' with police setting up a burglary appeal.
On Friday 24 March, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 12.35am on Thursday 23 March police were called to reports of a burglary in Crewe.
"The caller reported an alarm activation at an address on on Ford Lane.
"They also believed there were people inside the address.
"Officers swiftly attended the scene and searched the address and there was no trace of any offenders.
"Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police via its website, or to call 101, quoting IML 1506597."
