Police respond to serious welfare incident in West End of Crewe

Cheshire Police responded to a serious welfare incident in the West End of Crewe, after a woman had not be seen for several weeks.

On Thursday 19 September, officers received reports of concerns for the welfare of a woman on West Street.

At 11.27am, police arrived at the scene, with concerned neighbours to the Crewe woman saying she had not been seen for a long time.

Concerned West Street neighbours to the woman told Cheshire Police she had not been seen in several weeks (Nub News).

Following enquires, officers discovered the woman was currently in hospital, explaining the absence from her home.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 11.27am on 19 September, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a woman on West Street, Crewe. 

"The caller reported that a neighbour had not been seen for several weeks. 

"Following enquiries officers discovered the woman is currently in hospital."

Following enquires, Cheshire Police discovered the woman was currently in hospital, explaining her disappearance from her home (Cheshire Police).
