Police release details of man arrested for large cannabis farm in Crewe

Cheshire Police officers have released details of the 37-year-old man arrested for a large cannabis farm in Crewe - with him set to appear at court.

Marcin Lisiecki was arrested at around 4pm on Monday (December 12) after officers attended an address on Ruskin Road.

Officers from Crewe Local Policing Unit recovered a large quantity of cannabis plants at the Crewe house - thanks to information from the local community.

Lisiecki has now been charged with being concerned in the production of class B drugs.

The 37-year-old has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court today (14 December).

Following the drug raid on Monday, Sergeant Steve Tandy, of Crewe beat team, said: "I'd like to thank the residents for the information they provided, which has enabled us to remove a significant quantity of cannabis from the streets of Crewe.

"It is clear that this property had been completely converted to produce cannabis on a large scale.

"The electricity had been dangerously bypassed, and a large number of cannabis plants were discovered.

The Ruskin Road property had been completely converted to produce cannabis on a large scale (Crewe Police).

"These set-ups can be dangerous to other residents given the way the electricity is bypassed, and the equipment used within.

"We urge anyone who suspects this activity happening near them to come forward and tell us about it."
