Police offer update after making three arrests in Crewe property drug raid

Cheshire Police have offered an update on a county lines drug raid at a Crewe property - with two men and a boy being arrested by officers.

At around 9am on Wednesday 1 March, officers conducted a drugs warrant at an address on Darlington Avenue.

Two men and a boy were found at the address and during a search of the property officers discovered a 'large quantity of cannabis.'

A number of weapons were seized from the Crewe property – including a 'zombie -style' knife (Crewe Police).

Psychoactive substances along with other drug paraphernalia and a number of weapons – including a 'zombie -style' knife were also found.

Following the warrant, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs.

A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class B drugs (cannabis). Both were later released on bail.

A 26-year-old-man was also arrested being concerned in the supply of class B drugs. He was later released under investigation.

Sergeant of Crewe Local Policing Unit, Steve Tandy, said: "This operation has led to successfully removing a quantity of illegal drugs and weapons from the streets of Crewe.

"Actions such as this shows how we are continuing the fight against illegal drugs within our local community and across wider Cheshire – doing all we can to disrupt these criminals.

"I would urge anyone who spots the signs of this criminal activity to contact us on 101 or via our website.

"No report is too small or too trivial – each one provides us with vital intelligence that assists us in the fight against this crime type."

A large quantity of cash was seized by Cheshire Police officers in the Darlington Avenue raid (Crewe Police).
