Police arrest seven people in 24 hours following 'numerous domestic incidents' in Crewe
Cheshire Police arrested seven people in Crewe within a 24-hour period - following "numerous domestic incidents" in the town.
On Sunday 9 July, officers confirmed they had made this spate of arrests across the previous day.
The arrests for domestic incidents, include: assault causing injury, headbutting a partner, strangulation and controlling and coercive behaviour.
In a social media statement, Crewe Police said it has a "zero tolerance policy" when it comes to domestic abuse.
A statement read: "Over the past 24 hours, response patrol officers have attended numerous domestic incidents in Crewe.'
"This has resulted in 7x people being arrested.
"Sadly these incidents include assault causing injury, headbutting a partner, strangulation and controlling and coercive behaviour.
"Cheshire Police has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to domestic abuse. With incidents increasing at weekends."
Further details on the seven Crewe arrests have not been released.
