Police appeal for information after attempted child abduction in Crewe

At approximately 7.50pm on Friday (October 28), two girls aged eight and ten, were approached by an unknown man on West Street (Cheshire Constabulary).

Police in Crewe are appealing for information following a suspicious incident in the town - where a man attempted to abduct two children.

At approximately 7.50pm on Friday (October 28), two girls aged eight and ten, were approached by an unknown man on West Street.

The man took hold of the eight-year-old's arm and tried to get them to cross the road.

Inspector Andy Smith told Nub News: "The family have been incredibly upset by the incident and I understand it will cause some concern among the community.

"My officers are currently carrying out enquiries in the area to find the man responsible.

"If you have CCTV or dash cam footage that may help us with our investigation, please get in touch, the same goes for anyone who has any information that may help."
