Plans have been put forward to convert a former Crewe pub into a new restaurant, over two years after it closed down.
Applicant, Westmere Group, has applied for a change of use of the ground floor at The Brunswick, Nantwich Road, with the installation of an extract canopy to the side elevation.
Vacant since June 2023, work has been slowly taking place at the former pub and hotel for the past 18 months.

The interior has been totally stripped out, with a new seating area, delivery driver waiting area and customer toilet planned out.
A new restaurant coldroom, freezer, office and serving counter is also proposed on the ground floor.
Landlord at the time of The Brunswick's closure, Rob Delaney, told Nub News it was likely the building was to become a restaurant.
He said: "I woul'd like to thank all the wonderful customers and staff that have been with us for the two years.
"The pub has been a massive part of all our lives with many memories and lots of friends made.

"I'm not 100 per cent sure on the pub's future plans and I hope that it can remain as a pub, but it's not looking likely."
The last date for submitting comments on the application is Monday 24 November, with a target decision date of Friday 5 December.
