Plans have been put forward for new padel court facility on a business park to the south east of Crewe.

Applicant, Polly Print Properties Ltd has submitted proposals to convert Unit 3, Orion Park, off University Way, into three padel courts.

The packaging manufacturing business owns units 1 and 3 and plans to consolidate the business operations into Unit 1, allowing for the new padel development.

The applicant proposals two doubles and one singles court, along with toilet and changing facilities, customer seating areas, eight car parking spaces and short stay cycle parking.

A design and access statement says: "The proposal is for the change of use of Unit 3 to a padel courts facility.

"No alternations to the external appearance of the building are required to facilitate the change of use, with the only physical alterations being the internal fit out works to install the padel courts.

"Toilet and changing facilities will be provided alongside a reception area and customer seating areas.

"Externally changes will be minimal. A pedestrian route from the car park to the north will be marked out to ensure safe access to the main entrance located on the south western corner of the building.

"The proposal will utilise existing on-site parking adjacent to the existing trade counter, which includes eight parking spaces including one accessible parking bay.

"Sheffield cycles stands will be installed to provide short stay cycle parking."

The last date for submitting comments is Tuesday 21 April, with a target decision date of Thursday 30 April.
