Plain-clothed police arrest wanted man following incident in Nantwich

Plain-clothed Cheshire Police officers have arrested a wanted man from Greater Manchester, following an incident in Nantwich town centre.

On Friday 12 December, Crewe Police arrested the 23-year-old from Wigan, who was wanted for recall to prison and weapons offences.

The man was wanted for an incident on Welsh Row and has since been taken into police custody.

He remains there at this time, with enquiries ongoing.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Plain-clothes officers have today arrested 23-year-old man wanted man from Wigan following an incident in Welsh Row, Nantwich.

"The man, who was wanted in relation to possession of weapons offences and on recall to prison, has been taken into custody where he remains at this time.
