Pensioner taken to hospital after car collides with parked van in Crewe

A male pensioner has been taken to hospital, after a car collided with a stationary van in the West End of Crewe.

On Monday 4 March, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on West Street.

At round 1:15pm, officers arrived at the scene, discovering a blue Vauxhall Mokka had collided with a white van, parked on the curb.

The driver of the Vauxhall, a 74-year-old man was taken to hospital as a "precautionary" measure by a family member.

No arrests were made in the incident, with West Street reopened around 90 minutes later.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 1.15pm police were called to reports of a collision on West Street.

"Officers attended and found a blue Vauxhall Mokka had collided with a stationary vehicle.
