A WESTON hostelry launched a seasonal programme of events with a successful Oktoberfest.

Customers enjoyed a selection of German beers and food as well as live music, including a performance from the Audley Brass Band, at the White Lion Weston's marquee on Friday and Saturday.

White Lion owner Carl Boulton says the event is the first of several planned at the venue over the remaining months of 2021.

White Lion General Manager Chris Johnson said: "With an electric atmosphere, great selection of authentic German beers, Bratwurst and hog roast an amazing time was had by both our customers and team alike.

"Audley Brass really got the crowd going with their stunning rendition of both classic brass and modern favourites. Our restaurant was fully booked on both Friday and Saturday with many joining us after their meal to soak up the atmosphere."

Carl Boulton said: "Oktoberfest was the first of many exciting events we have planned for the remainder of 2021 and looking forward to 2022.

"These events really add to our unique position of being the go-to venue in South Cheshire. You can dine and drink with the added bonus of being able to rest in the comfort of one our newly refurbished rooms after an evening of live entertainment.

"There's something for everyone at The White Lion Weston, while benefitting from our second-to-none service and guaranteed enjoyment for all."

The White Lion Weston is closing tomorrow (Tuesday) until Monday, October 18 for refurbishment. It says it will be back with some "exciting new features and a warming winter menu".
