New 'vibrant' community shop officially launches in Crewe town centre

A "vibrant" new community hub has officially launched in Crewe town centre, taking on the former WHSmith unit.
The ReUse Warehouse, Victoria Centre opened its doors at 10am on Monday 8 September, with Connor Naismith MP, Mayor of Crewe, Sally Graham and joint CEO of The Moulding Foundation, Jodie Moulding, in attendance.
Operated by Cheshire charity, Changing Lives Together, the affordable Crewe town centre store sells "beautifully restored" items and appliances as well as new furniture and appliances.

The ReUse Warehouse offers "professional" bicycle workshop services, helping out with repairs and maintenance, as well as restored bicycles, home furnishings, bric-a-brac and reuse paint.
It will also soon be launching a full grocery section, aiming to serve the Crewe community with convenient and sustainable shopping.
CEO of Changing Lives Together, David Grocott, told Nub News: "This isn't just another charity shop, we've created a vibrant, inclusive hub that offers real value, choice, and dignity to everyone in Crewe.
"It has also been designed to be a friendly and welcoming space where the community can come together to find company and meaningful friendships through our Warm Welcome Group, plus the other community initiatives that will eventually use our building.
"We are very grateful to the Moulding Foundation and Crewe Town Council for their support in making this happen.
"This kind of financial support means that we have been able to expand our reuse retail offer and community support services into Crewe.

"This means we will be able to help more people save money while saving food and furniture from going into landfill.
"It is a win for people, a win for the planet, and a powerful step forward in building a more inclusive, sustainable future for everyone in Crewe.
"Our doors have been open for a couple of weeks while we ironed out any creases and we have already been made to feel incredibly welcome by the Crewe community. We are delighted to be here and very excited for the future."
The ReUse Warehouse is open 9am to 5pm, (Monday to Friday) and 9am to 4.30pm (Saturday).
