THE owners of a new veterinary business in Crewe say they were prompted to expand to meet the growing demand created by the surge in pet ownership during the pandemic.

Crewe Hall Vets, a first opinion veterinary clinic, based on the Crewe Hall Farm Business Estate, was opened by Crewe Town Mayor Cllr Tom Dunlop this week.

It is an extension of Physio-Vet, which is also sited at Crewe Hall Farm and was founded by Dave and Lorna Prydie in 2010.

The premises are equipped with the very latest in veterinary technology, including an on-site CT scanner.

Dave and Lorna have also started an out-of-hours service in Nantwich.

Cllr Dunlop said: "Crewe is fast growing and hearing of another business opening is very welcome news.

"Since starting their business 12 years ago Dave and Lorna have increased their staff and intend to increase numbers further.

"Crewe Town Council wants to encourage new businesses to come to Crewe and bring more job opportunities."
