A new Middle Eastern restaurant serving "all fresh" food has launched in the centre of Crewe, located inside a former long-standing café.

Kurdish Restaurant, Market Street, officially opened on Tuesday 28 November, following over nine months of works.

"All of our food is fresh and prepared daily. Nothing served here is frozen," says business owner and manager, Sadir.

Kurdish Restaurant is open on Market Street from 8am until 9pm (Monday to Sunday) (Ryan Parker).

Kurdish Restaurant employs six members of staff (including Sadir). The business operates inside the old Grazziella's, which closed down in 2020.

Sadir, from Kurdistan, noticed Crewe had few fresh food restaurants and had been looking at a suitable unit for some time.

He told Nub News: "When I first came to Crewe four years ago, I worked in a mini market on Market Street, along with my cousin.

"I noticed there weren't many eateries serving fresh food and became determined to open a new restaurant, speaking to lots of different landlords.

"We have worked on opening this place since the start of the year and are delighted to be finally open.

"We have decorated the interior with nice lights and installed comfy chairs along with a new customer toilet facility.

Kurdish Restaurant serves a large variety of food, including kebab grills, fatayer, shawarma and quzi (Ryan Parker).

"Our food is all made on site. Everyday our chefs arrive at 6am to make all our food items."

A wide selection of fillings are available, including varieties of chicken, lamb and fish.

Sadir said: "We are just getting settled into operating everything and have had very poise feedback so far.

"From 8am, we offer breakfasts, which are served until 11am everyday. We also offer specials on Sundays.

"Kurdish Restaurant offers a collection service but not deliveries as we are striving to serve hot, fresh food, which could be compromised.

Kurdish Restaurant employs six members of staff (including Sadir), who prepare the fresh food daily (Ryan Parker).

"I want all my staff to produce and serve the same high-quality food to every customer with myself included. We strive for consistency.

Sadir has enjoyed living in Crewe for the past four years and hopes his new restaurant will give local residents an enjoyable place to dine.

The business owner added: "I hope this new restaurant will make the people of Crewe happy.

"Here, they can come and enjoy lovely fresh Kurdish food in a nice, relaxing environment.

"I can assure all potential customers our food is very nice. I believe our prices very good for the quality.

"The people of Crewe should come and give Kurdish Restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed."
