A new Chinese restaurant looks set to be opening in Crewe South, following the submission of a new premises licence.

Chopstix Sandbach, on behalf of Mr Yu Jianchao, has applied to Cheshire East Council for 112-114 Nantwich Road, formerly occupied by White Lotus Goomet restaurant.

The premises licence application site has been titled as 'Fortune City,' with the new eatery proposed to be open 11am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday.

Loccated opposite Edleston Road junction, this Nantwich Road building has been empty over two years.

The premises license application reads: "Notice is hereby given that we, Chopstix Sandbach Limited have applied on 29 May 2026 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Fortune City, 112-114 Nantwich Road.

"This is for a premises licence to provide the following licensable activities:

"Recorded music, Monday to Sunday, 11am to 11pm and supply of alcohol, Monday to Sunday, 11am to 11pm."

Representations to Chopstix Sandbach's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Friday 26 June.
