A new artisan bakery has opened in Crewe.

Chatwins - a local chain baker that was founded in Nantwich - have opened where a takeaway used to be.

The new venture is located to the left of the Woolstanwood Co-op, where The Fish Bar at Sunnybank Road once was.

In a statement, Chatwins said: "Our new shop at 645 West St, Crewe is now open 8am to 5pm Mon-Sat and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.

Chatwins already have stores in nearby Sandbach and Congleton, as well as on Victoria Street in Crewe. (Image - Chatwins)

"We are pleased to offer our award winning cakes, bread and freshly baked pies and pasties.

"We also have a wide variety of cold sandwich fillings to make fresh to order sandwiches and also a range of hot sandwiches including our hand carved roast carvery filled rolls.

"We look forward to seeing you soon."
