New 'cocktail bar' and gift shop planned at former South Cheshire bakery site

A former Nantwich town centre Chatwin's bakery store looks set to become a cocktail bar, gift shop and working gin distillery, serving up a variety of beer and spirits.
Three Wrens Gin is seeking permission from Cheshire East Council to use the ground floor property at 16 Pepper Street for 'compounding and rectification of spirits' on-site, involving the 'small batch distilling of gin'.
The applicant also wants to sell alcohol for off-site consumption.
Founder, owner and master distiller at Three Wrens Gin, Nick Wadeson, has spent the best part of his career developing cocktail recipies.
The award-winning mixologist told Nub News: "We have submitted a licence and planning application to transform the vacant shop at 16 Pepper Street into a cocktail bar.
"This will include a gift shop and working gin distillery."
Founded in 2019, Three Wrens Cheshire Distillery is based in Combermere, Cheshire.
Its proposed Nantwich opening hours will be from 10am until 10pm Monday to Sunday.

Three Wrens Gin proposes seats a 32-seater gin school area and a 16-seater cafe area.
The closing date for comments on the planning application is Wednesday 28 February, with a target decision date of Tuesday 26 March.
