Popular South Cheshire nightclub to reopen under new tenant
A closed South Cheshire bar and nightclub is set to reopen after licence holder, Punch Taverns, applied for a change of opening hours for a new incoming tenant.
Nakatcha, Welsh Row, ceased trading after 18 years on Thursday 4 July.
The venue, which was open from 9pm until 3am every Friday and Saturday, said it couldn't survive any longer in the town.
On Wednesday 18 September, Punch Taverns Limited submitted a premises licence to reopen the venue, with changes to its opening hours.
The pub and bar operator wants to amend its licensable hours to 10am to 1am (Sunday to Thursday) and 19am to 2am (Friday to Saturday).
Punch Taverns also wants to amend Nakatcha's opening hours to 10am to 1.30am (Sunday to Thursday) and 10am to 2.30am (Friday to Saturday).
The premises license application reads: "Notice is hereby given that we, Punch Taverns Limited have applied on 18 September 2024 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Nakatcha, 20-22 Welsh Row, Nantwich.
"The minor variation seeks to change: Reduce hours for licensable activities to Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 1am and Friday to Saturday, 10am to 2am.
"Reduce opening hours to Sunday to Thursday, 10am to 1.30am and Friday to Saturday, 10am to 2.30am.
"Amend conditions on the premises licence."
Representations to Punch Tavern's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Wednesday 2 October.
