Motorists have been warned after a sinkhole appeared in a residential street in Crewe, close to a primary school.
On Wednesday 11 December, Rope Parish Council alerted members of the public to a sinkhole on Laidon Avenue, close to Berkeley Academy.
The sinkhole appeared in the middle of road during the evening, with Cadent Gas workmen on-site from 9pm.
Rope Parish Council said: "A sinkhole has occurred on Laidon Avenue, just down from the school.
"Please be aware the road may well be blocked off when taking your child to school. Workmen are there now."
Crewe Nub News has contacted Cadent Gas for comment.
