A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash with a van in Crewe East, causing significant traffic delays in the area.

On Friday 23 May, emergency services were alerted to an incident on Macon Way, at its roundabout with Hungerford Road.

Around 12.30pm, Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, discovering a crash involving a white Ford Transit van and a blue Suzuki motorcycle.

The crash involved a white Ford Transit van and a blue Suzuki motorcycle, with the male motorcyclist sustaining minor injuries (Ryan Parker).

No arrests were made in the incident, with the male motorcyclist expected to make a full recovery.

Large traffic delays were reported on Macon Way, with the road now clear.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 12.30pm today, Friday 23 May, police were called to reports of a collision on Macon Way, Crewe.

The Suzuki motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and is now in hospital.

No arrests were made in the incident, with the male motorcyclist expected to make a full recovery (Cheshire Police).

"Officers attended and found the collision involved a white Ford Transit van and a blue Suzuki motorcycle.

"The rider reported minor injuries."
