A man has been reported for allegedly "photographing children" at a park in Crewe, with Cheshire Police investigating the incident.

On Thursday 3 April, a woman phoned the police saying she believed man was videoing her 14-year-old son at Queen Street Park.

She said the man, who was on reportedly on a call with another man had his phone facing her son and was adamant he was filming him.

The Crewe mum confronted the man, who claimed he was using FaceTime. She was unhappy with his explanation and immediately reported the incident to Cheshire Police, photographing him (Supplied).

Officers say enquiries are "ongoing" into the incident.

The parent told Nub News her son no longer wants to go out on his own.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 3.40pm on Thursday 3 April, police were made aware of reports of suspicious activity in Crewe. 

"The caller reported that at 2.30pm that day, she witnessed a man at Queen Street Park, who appeared to be photographing children.

Cheshire Police say enquiries are 'ongoing' into the Queen Street incident. The woman told Nub News her son no longer wants to go out on his own (Ryan Parker).

"The woman confronted the man, who claimed that he was using facetime, but she was unhappy with the explanation and reported the incident to police.

"Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
