Man arrested for possession of weapon and Class A drugs in Crewe

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply class A drugs in Crewe, following a Cheshire Police traffic stop.
On Thursday 13 August, officers sighted a "person of interest" driving a vehicle on Middlewich Street.
At around 8pm, police pulled over the vehicle, locating Class A drugs and a weapon inside it.
The driver was arrested for the listed offences and has since been released on conditional bail.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At roughly 8pm on Thursday 13 August, beat patrols sighted a person of interest driving a motor vehicle on Middlewich Street, Crewe.
"Patrols performed a traffic stop, and a quantity of class A drugs were located, and a weapon inside the vehicle.
"The male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A, and possession of an offensive weapon."
