Man arrested for 'driving while disqualified' after BMW overturns in Crewe
A 42-year-old man has been arrested for 'driving while disqualified' with 'possession of a controlled class B drug' - after a car overturned in Crewe.
The incident on Selworthy Drive, at its junction with Frank Bott Avenue, happened just after 6:30pm on Thursday 20 April.
Cheshire Police officers quickly arrived at the scene - finding a black BMW overturned.
Officers arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of driving while disqualified and possession of a controlled class B drug.
On Friday 21 April, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "Officers were called just after 6.30pm on Thursday 20 April to Selworthy Drive, Crewe following reports of an overturned black BMW.
"A 42-year-old man from Crewe was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and possession of a controlled class B drug.
"He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
The overturned black BMW was recovered around 8:30pm that evening.
