Man, 52, charged with possession of offensive weapon in Crewe

A man has been charged with the possession of an offensive weapon, following a stop search in the West End of Crewe.
On Saturday 15 August, Cheshire Police sighted a male "acting suspiciously" in the Derby Street area.
At around 2.45pm, officers arrested the male after a selection of weapons were located during a search, including a hammer and bladed article.
Stephen Crimes, of no fixed abode, has since been charged and will appear at Crewe Magistrates' court on Monday 14 September.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Stephen Crimes, of no fixed abode, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
"The 52-year-old will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 14 September.
"The charge relates to a man in possession of a hammer, saw and pole in Derby Street, Crewe, on Saturday 15 August."
