Cheshire Police investigating a knife-point bike robbery in Crewe East are appealing for information and witnesses.

At around 5.45pm on Sunday 30 August, officers in Crewe responded to reports of a robbery in the town.

The caller reported that they had been cycling their red Boardman mountain bike in the Queen Street Park area of Crewe, when an unknown man approached and stopped him.

It was then reported that the man pulled out a knife and demanded the caller hand over his bike. The caller complied and the man rode the bike away in the direction of Lime Tree Avenue.

As part of enquiries into the incident, officers have since arrested a 19-year-old local man on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on bail.

To fully establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, officers are now appealing to anyone with any information to contact them.

Police Constable Shaun Lowe of Crewe CID said: "As part of our ongoing investigation, we are asking anyone who has any information in relation to this incident to please get in touch with our officers.
