A major Crewe road is set to reopen this weekend, following maintenance works to investigate and fix a dip in the highway.

Middlewich Street is targeted to reopen at midnight on Saturday 2 December.

A drainage investigation has been taking place on a section of the road by Russet Close, close to the junction of Remer Street, since Monday 27 November.

Works are taking place where there is a major dip in the highway, reported to be getting worse by motorists for some time.

It is hoped the drainage works will repair the dip for good. Check out the video above sent in to Nub News by a local resident.
