A League Two football club has made an official complaint to the EFL about a recent Crewe match postponement - due to take place this month.

On Thursday 23 March, West Yorkshire newspaper, Telegraph & Argus, reported Bradford City had complained to the EFL regarding Crewe's match postponement for Saturday 25 March.

The 3pm kick-off was postponed by Crewe on Friday 17 March due to three international call-ups.

Crwee Alexandra goalkeeper, James Beadle, is representing England under-19s for three games (Kevin Warburton).

Connor O'Riordan, James Beadle and Lachlan Brook, all linked up with their respective nations after Crewe's defeat to Northampton Town on Saturday 18 March.

O'Riordan is with Republic of Ireland under-21 squad, Beadle is representing England under-19s for three games - while Brook is representing Australia under-23s.

Bradford believe Crewe's postponement was made at too short notice - with 1,600 away tickets already being sold for the fixture.

The fifth-placed League Two club complained there should have bene prior warning for when the international squads were selected - preventing inconvenience with potential travel arrangements.

Crewe Alexandra drew 0-0 away to Bradford City back in August 2022 (Kevin Warburton).

Bradford have questioned how Crewe were able to fulfil their fixture away to Gillingham on Tuesday 21 March.

The Railwaymen lost 2-1 to The Gills without the trio of O'Riordan, Beadle and Brook - away on international duty.

Crewe's fixture with Gillingham had already been rearranged once - hence the reason for both clubs wanting to play the match.
