The brown and white coloured dog was found by a member of the public, covered in a blue curtain on Thursday 26 February, on woodland to the side of Old Park Road, Crewe Green.
There was no microchip or collar to help with identification.

RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer, Scarlet Sanderson, leading an nvestigation into the incident, said: "We're grateful to the member of the public who found this poor dog and contacted us. It must have been a very distressing thing to find.
"This dog appears to be elderly and was thin with his ribs showing. She had three tumors/growths.
"One covering the whole of her right shoulder, one on her back paw and one on her tail and she also had overgrown nails.
"Sadly, there were no identifiers at all, no chip, collar, lead, or anything, so we're urging anyone with information to come forward.
"Anyone who has any first hand information about this dog is urged to contact us on 0300 123 8018 and can quote 01743992."
