CREWE photographer Jonathan White has been out and about capturing how people are brightening up the town's streets, avenues and closes with fantastic festive light shows.

Jonathan enjoys the town centre light displays in Crewe and Nantwich, but he says nothing beats an extravagant set of lights mounted on or around a home, as well as the occasional inflatable decoration.

"Their electricity bills must be sky high, but they never fail to bring a smile to my face," said Jonathan, who says his favourites in Crewe this year include locations in Alton Street, Carlisle Street, Marple Crescent and Salisbury Avenue along with the spectacular Christmas tree at Oxley's Funeral Services on Market Close.

Some of his picks close to home in Wistaston are in Lear Drive, Rope Bank Avenue and Westfield Drive, while in Shavington there are good shows on Main Road and in Burlea Drive, along with an advent window trail around the village.

You can see Jonathan's super pictures in the gallery above.
