A HELICOPTER landing in Wistaston had cameras clicking this afternoon.

The Agusta Grand was spotted alighting on a marked spot on fields between the new Bloor Homes estate, Wistaston Brook, and Joey the Swan.

It was parked up for around an hour before flying off.

Some residents, commenting on social media, said they understood the helicopter was bringing Bloor Housing chief John Bloor, for a visit to the two-year-old housing development.

The 77-year-old house builder, who also owns Triumph Motorcycles, lives in Derbyshire.
