A POPULAR village cafe has been transformed ready for the boost in trade it hopes will result from joining the government's discount 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme.
Haslington Bakery Café has installed space dividers in its eating areas to ensure diners and those in a household bubble can have their own individual area to guard against infection.
.The cafe, which sits adjacent to the Food for Thought Bakery, is offering 50 per cent discounts on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays during August, as are other Crewe area venues participating in Chancellor Rishi Sunak's initiative.
The Bakery says it has created "a lovely bright space where you can feel safe to eat and relax, where precautions against the Covid-19 virus are fully in place".
There are new daily specials (such as roast dinners) on offer and the cafe is open for even those who just want a drink and a slice of cake.
Booking is not necessary, but the Bakery Cafe does prefer you to phone 01270 254911 to be sure of a space. Opening times are 9.30am to 3.30pm.
