THE leaders of the Premier Division of the CREWE REGIONAL SUNDAY LEAGUE were mauled at Winsford as George and Dragon demonstrated they can make a title bid.

The mid-Cheshire side have only played six games to date, but they kept up their 100 per cent record after responding to Mike Blundell's effort which put The Lions ahead at the interval.

Joe Duckworth claimed a hat-trick and Perry Bircumshaw was also on the sheet as the hosts won 4-1.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Talbot beat Faddiley 6-0, with Liam Whittaker netting five times, and Scott Rankin also on target.

Betley moved to within one point of The Lions - and they have a game in hand -courtesy of a 4-1 win at Raven Salvador. Keiron Duckers (2), Chris Towers and Joe Wood were on target for Betley and Jason Nolan scored for the home side.

NHB won 3 -0 at Cheshire Cheese with goals from Peter Aidley, Lewis Clark and Alex Ball.

Division One leaders Audlem remain undefeated but could only draw 1-1 against bottom club JS Bailey.

Audlem led at the break thanks to a Paul Bowker goal, but a spirited revival by the home side saw them draw level through Justin Manini and they could even have snatched an unlikely win.

Second-placed Winsford Over were held to a high-scoring draw by mid-table C & N Utd.

Jamie Rice (2), Tom Stanton and James Hartley netted for Winsford Over, with the C &N Utd. goals coming from Tom Thursfield, Jack Cope (2) and Nathan Bennett.

Cooper Buckley thrashed Ruskin Park 6-0 with their goals coming from Luke Gillan (2), Tristan Sword, Ben Burrow, Ashley Edwards and Jason McMullan.

Sandbach Town lost ground on the top three as they went down (1-2) to Nantwich Pirates whose goals came from Jack Cadwallader and Dylan Everall, with Jack Townsend netting for the visitors.

White Horse won 4-2 at Leighton FC. Tom Edwards scored for Leighton FC, and Tom Royle converted two spot kicks for Horse who led 2-1.

Nathan Schofield equalised for Leighton FC with a stunning 25 yard free kick, but goals from George Botham and Sean Simcock won the game for the visitors.

There was a massive shock in the CREWE AND DISTRICT LEAGUE where the ever-improving Mary Dendy beat table toppers Sandbach Curshaws 2-1.

Harley Heaton scored in each half for the visitors while Fraser Keena replied for Curshaws.

Second-placed Sandbach Town Ramblers wasted the chance to draw level with the leaders as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Mary Dendy 1982.

Ramblers had Tim Lamb, Chris Proudlove and Lee Wakefield on the scoresheet with Jonathan Kyd (2) and Jon MacClellen scoring for Mary.

Sandbach Town beat third-placed FC Bollington 2-0 with goals from Tom Edwards and Josh Boulton.

And the derby between Crewe Wanderers and Crewe Town ended with honours even after a 1-1 draw.

In the CHESHIRE LEAGUE Crewe FC went down at home (1-2) to Congleton Town Reserves.
