Five men arrested after collision leads to serious 'altercation' on Crewe street

Five local men have have arrested after a collision between a car and a van led to a serious "altercation" in Crewe - with one set to appear in court this month.

Cheshire Police officers rushed to the scene to find a Honda had collided with a van.

Officers broke up a fight taking place between those present at the scene.

Four local men, aged 18, 24, 43 and 47 were all arrested on suspicion of affray - since being released on bail.

Another local man, Jason Stockley, of Underwood Lane, was arrested and charged for criminal damage, driving without insurance and for the possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The 54-year-old is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on Saturday 10 July.

On Monday 5 June, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "At 6.40pm on Thursday 1 June police were called to a collision on Northbank Walk, Crewe.

"Officers attended and found the incident involved a Honda Civic and a van.

"An altercation also took place between those present following the collision.

"Four local men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray. The men, aged 18,24, 43, and 47, have all since been released on bail.

"Jason Stockley, 54, of Underwood Lane, has been charged with the offences and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on 10 July."
