A NEW craft beer bar which has opened on Nantwich Road is gearing up for its first full week of trade.

Lee Garner has teamed up with business partner Steve Shoebridge to open a second outlet of Ebenezer's at the former BeerDock premises, having enjoyed success with his sole venture in Nantwich.

After extensive refurbishment work, including a new bar, toilets, cellar and an outside terrace, the beer emporium opened on August 26.

It specialises in craft ales and artisan gins and wines with Lee and Steve hoping to capitalise on a growing scene for craft ales in Crewe. You can read about their plans here.

The business duo have hired David Atwood and Nick Warren to run Ebenezer's in Crewe, with both having experience of working in the craft beer trade.

They said: "They [David and Nick] know the faces and the people who can't wait to get back in and drink exciting beer again. We were doing considerably well at Ebenezer's in Nantwich then the pandemic hit and it's not been nice for anyone in this trade.

"We survived and that's thanks to all our amazing customers. We're lucky to have every one of them. The craft beer scene is thriving in Crewe and we're happy to add to it, we've loved seeing everyone since we opened."

Check out the range of beers, gins, spirits and wines at Ebenezer's Facebook page.
