Firefighters tackle Crewe house blaze in middle of the night
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a Crewe house blaze in the middle of the night - believed to have been started accidentally.
The incident happened at a property on Thorneycroft Way at 2:22am this morning (August 31).
Two fire engines from Crewe arrived at the scene to discover a fire within the bathroom of a property.
The firefighters contained the blaze within a shower unit - putting it out quickly.
No one was injured in the incident - firefighters believe the fire was started accidentally.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Spokesperson said: "Two crews from Crewe were called to a report of a house fire on Thorneycroft Way.
"The fire was contained within a bathroom shower unit.
"Water and electricity supplies were isolated and the fire extinguished using a hose reel jet.
"The fire is believed to have started accidentally."
