Firefighters extinguish abandoned Crewe town centre campfire in middle of the night
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service extinguished an abandoned Crewe town centre campfire in the middle of the night - set by a railway bridge.
The incident at Earle Street roundabout/Vernon Way junction, happened at 2:19am on Tuesday 4 April.
One fire engine from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene to find an abandoned campfire in bushes.
The campfire was set by Earle Street bridge.
Firefighters put out the campfire flames with water.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A small campfire was extinguished by firefighters using water.
"The fire was set in bushes by a railway bridge."
