A FIRE crew doused a blaze which spread from a wheelie bin to a garden shed at a Weston home.

One engine from Crewe was called out to the incident in Ashbourne Drive at around 7.40pm last night.

The fire involved a wheelie bin which had spread to a nearby garden shed and a number of fence panels. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and dampen down.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and there were no reports of any injuries."

Earlier yesterday afternoon officers put out a grass fire at Mablins Lane.
