Fire crews tackle serious car blaze on outskirts of Crewe
Fire crews tackled a serious car blaze on the outskirts of Crewe, believed to have been caused by a vehicle fault.
On Wednesday 6 November, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service received reports of an incident on Hampstead Drive, Weston.
Around 6.29am, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at the scene, discovering a car well-alight.
The Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the flames, with the vehicle sustaining serious damage.
This incident is not believed to be suspicious, with no arrests made.
No one was injured in the Weston car blaze incident.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a report of a car fire on Hampstead Drive.
"Crews wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet to put the fire out."
