An exclusive sunset cinema is taking place this weekend at a popular South Cheshire hotel and spa - just five miles from Crewe.

The event is taking place at Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, Nantwich, this Saturday (July 2) and Sunday (July 3).

This sunset cinema screening will be taking place on the lawns of Rookery Hall.

It is coming to the venue for this weekend only.

General manager of Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa, Tim O'Sullivan, told Nub News: 'We are really excited to be hosting our first outdoor cinema experience here at Rookery Hall Hotel & Spa."

There will be four different movie screenings taking place across the weekend.

This includes two matinee screenings, with one showing Encanto (July 2) and the other showing The Greatest Showman (July 3).

Doors open at 3:30pm and each screening starts at 4:30pm.

For the evening screenings, A Star Is Born (July 2) and Grease (July 3) will been shown.

The doors will open at 7:30pm for both of these screenings, with movies starting at 8:30pm.

This is an exclusive event, taking place at Rookery Hall & Spa this Saturday and Sunday (Rookery Hall & Spa).

Mr O'Sullivan added: "On the back of a successful family Easter Egg hunt weekend and Jubilee celebrations here in the grounds, we are looking forward to welcoming families and friends back to the hotel for what will be a great event.

"Whether it be an afternoon treat for the kids, or a date night with a difference, our team will be here to look after you throughout'

Visitors to the event will be able to purchase food and drinks.

Food includes, bratwurst, chicken wings, loaded nachos, popcorn and ice cream.

A statement on Rookery Hall & Spa's website for the event, says: "Bring your warm and cosies and snuggle up on a cosy bean bag chair before putting on your Silent Cinema headphones to settle back and watch a classic on the big screen.

"The high quality LED screen ensures you have a full cinema experience."

Food and drinks will be on offer. This is a ticketed event and tickets must be purchased for each screening in advance (Rookery Hall & Spa).
