An established Crewe barber shop has been fined by the government for using illegal workers - according to a recent report.

On Wednesday 24 May, the government released data for Illegal working civil penalties in the North West - running between October 1 and December 1, 2022.

Of the 16 employers caught out, London One Barber, Edleston Road, Crewe, was handed a £15,000 civil penalty for illegal working.

Five of the other employers were around Merseyside - with another four based in and around the Manchester area.

Two employers were from Warrington, two were from Preston, one was from Wigan and another was from Accrington.

The businesses included, car washes, barbers, a restaurant, a mobile phone shop and a discount store.

London One Barber officially opened close to Crewe town centre in June 2017.

The business is open seven days per week with a Facebook rating of 4.5/5 stars from 57 reviews.
