Emergency services rush to car fire on dual carriageway in Crewe
Emergency services rushed to a car fire on a busy dual carriageway in Crewe - taking place during rush hour traffic.
The incident on the A500 Shavington Bypass, Weston, happened at 5:23pm on Tuesday (November 22).
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene - with one fire engine from Crewe and Cheshire Police officers.
Cheshire Police assisted the Crewe firefighters with road closures during the incident.
The car fire started from the engine compartment of a vehicle.
Crewe firefighters put out the blaze during a hose reel jet.
No injuries were sustained during the incident.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters put out a fire in the engine compartment of a vehicle on Shavington Bypass.
"They wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet.
"There were no casualties reported."
