Emergency services respond to suspected arson attack in Crewe
Emergency services responded to a suspected arson attack in Crewe over the weekend - targeted on a disused building.
The 'deliberate' incident on Electricity Street, happened at 4:18pm on Saturday 11 February.
Two Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service engines from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene.
Crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
Crewe firefighters called Cheshire Police to attend - believing the blaze was caused by an act on arson.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to an incident involving a fire in a disused building.
"Crews used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames inside the building.
"Police were called due to the deliberate nature of the fire."
Arson attacks on the disused Electricity Street building have become a regular occurrence.
Several incidents were reported in 2022 before the incident this February.
