Man pronounced dead in serious Crewe town centre incident

Emergency services responded to a serious incident in Crewe town centre, with a man sadly passing away at the scene.

Cheshire Police officers and North West Ambulance Service paramedics rushed to Earle Street/Hill Street, outside The Cheese Hall, around 1:10pm on Wednesday 17 July.

An air ambulance was also deployed to the scene, landing on a Market Shopping Centre delivery area, with a section of Earle Street taped off by police.

A man collapsed and was given CPR. He was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

Several police cars and ambulances rushed to Earle Street, outside The Cheese Hall (Nub News).

There are no suspected suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 1:10pm on Wednesday 17 July, police were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man on Earle Street/Hill Street.

"Officers and paramedics attended and sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no suspected suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death (Nub News).

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
