Emergency services respond to Crewe car blaze caused by 'electrical fault'

Emergency services responded to an early morning car blaze near Crewe, believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
On Tuesday 17 February, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to an incident on Newcastle Road, Weston.
At 5.43am, one fire crew from Crewe arrive dat the scene, discovering flames coming from the engine component of a vehicle.
Cheshire Police closed one lane of the road while supporting Crewe firefighters with the incident, who swiftly dealt with the blaze.
No one was injured in the fire, with the care sustaining moderate damage.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish a small fire in the engine compartment of a car in Crewe.
"A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots.
"One lane of the road was closed while the incident was dealt with, and the incident was handed over to police.
"This is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault."
