An eatery has officially launched in Crewe promising to offer "something new" for the town, including "own recipe" stir-fry kebabs and smash burgers.

Get Smash'd, Nantwich Road, opened its doors at 4.30pm on Monday 30 September, with 50 per cent discount on everything until close.

Operated by owners, Ash and Hassan from Stoke-on-Trent, Get Smash'd trades in the former Shawarma 360 unit.

Get Smash'd specialises in stir-fry grilled kebabs, a first in Crewe (Get Smash'd).

Hassan, previously of Crewe, told Nub News: "Crewe needs new fusion, new flavours and a new trend, with Get Smash'd offering all of this to its residents.

"We have been thinking about opening this place for a while and also run Bombay Lounge in Winsford, recently awarded 'Outstanding Curry of the Year' at this year's Nation's Curry Awards and more.

"Get Smash'd is all about offering something new in Crewe. We specialise in stir-fry grilled kebabs and smash burgers, which are both our very own recipe.

"I have lived in Crewe previously for around 15 years. I have other businesses in Winsford and Stoke-on-Trent, but my food venture started off here."

"Nantwich Road is the hotspot for Crewe for the likes of takeaways and bars. It is where it is all happening.

"You have all the students and the college buses going past here, people going to and from the station. We are in the perfect spot for all that."

Hassan, from Stoke-on-Trent, previously lived in Crewe for 15 years and worked at the Bollywood Masala, Thomas Street, and Jelfrezi Little India, Chester Bridge (Get Smash'd).

Get Smash'd serves a dozen different beef and chicken smash burgers, along with several stir-fry grilled kebabs options.

It also sells pizzas, chipizzas loaded fries, Kentucky boneless chicken, value boxes, sides, desserts, drinks and children's options.

Hassan and Ash said: "Crewe has changed so much in the past 15 years.

"The new market hall, bus station and multi-storey car park has helped to rebuilt parts of the town centre."

Hassan used to work at the Bollywood Masala, Thomas Street, and Jelfrezi Little India, Chester Bridge, enjoying his time at those venues.

He said: "Working in Crewe again brings back a lot of memories. It feels good to have a business in a town I know so well and love.

"Our smash burgers have been very successful around Stoke, Cheshire and the likes. There is no reason why it won't be in Crewe."

Get Smash'd believes its food will stand out from the rest on Nantwich Road and further afield, with the aim of becoming a "staple of Crewe."

Hassan and Ash added: "We have studied other menus in Crewe. The stir-fry kebabs are not served anywhere else in the town and believe this will be a massive hit.

"We can assure you our smash burgers are totally different to anywhere else in the town. Our loaded fries are also made from all freshly made ingredients.

"We are delighted with our branded and believe our menu will really pull you in. It has won people over in other locations and we are confident it will in Crewe.

"We saw there was a gap in the market and went for it. In all of our locations we never compromise on quality. It is always consistent.

Get Smash'd is open on Nantwich Road from 4.30pm to 11.30pm, Monday to Sunday (Ryan Parker).

"If you want great food and great service you go to Get Smash'd. We want this to become a real staple of Crewe."
