Driver suffers 'head injury' and child passenger hurt in two-vehicle Crewe collision
Emergency services rushed to a serious two-vehicle collision on the outskirts of Crewe - with a driver suffering a "head injury" and a child passenger also hurt.
The incident on Crewe Road, Haslington, happened at 8:15am on Thursday 22 June - involving a white Volkswagen and a grey Skoda Superb.
Cheshire Police officers and North West Ambulance Service paramedics quickly arrived at the scene - supporting those involved.
The driver of the Skoda suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital.
A child passenger in the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
Crewe Road was closed while emergency services dealt with the collision. It reopened at 9:20am.
On Friday 23 June, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 8.15am on Thursday 22 June, police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Crewe Road, Haslington.
"The incident involved two vehicles, a white Volkswagen and a grey Skoda Superb, which was blocking the road.
"An ambulance attended the scene. The driver of the Skoda suffered a head injury, while a child passenger in the Volkswagen suffered minor injuries.
"The road was reopened at 9.20am."
