Driver airlifted to hospital with 'serious' injuries after crashing into tree near garden centre

A driver has been airlifted to hospital following a crash near Crewe.
Emergency services were called to Eardswick Lane on Monday afternoon (October 6) following reports of a crash outside Minshull's Garden Centre.
A car had left the road and collided with a tree.
The driver was left with 'serious' injuries and had to be taken to hospital by air ambulance.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "At 2.04pm on Monday, police were called to a one vehicle collision on Eardswick Road, Minshull Vernon near the garden centre.
"The car has left the road and collided with a tree.
"The driver has been taken to hospital to be treated.
"She is believed to have serious injuries."
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two engines to the scene, on each from the Crewe and Winsford stations.
A spokesperson said: "Crews released one casualty from their car following a road traffic collision involving two vehicles in Crewe.
"The casualty was then taken to the hospital by air ambulance crews."
