Drink driver charged after hitting parked car and hiding under van on Crewe car park

A suspected male drink driver is set to appear in court after hitting a parked car and hiding from police under a parked van on a Crewe car park.

On Sunday 24 September, Cheshire Police received reports of a white Ford van hitting a parked car on Bradfield Road, with the driver appearing to be 'drunk.'

During the evening hours, officers arrived the scene, with the man fleeing on foot.

The collision incident happened on Bradfield Road, with Cheshire Police officers locating Jordan Ganner on Heron Foods Car Park (Nub News).

A member of the public chased the man, but was threatened with assault and backed off.

Police searched for the man and found him hiding under a parked van on Heron Foods Car Park.

The man was abusive, refused to do a roadside breath test and was arrested.

Jordan Ganner 34, has since been charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving otherwise in accordance with a license.

He was also charged with using a motor vehicle without insurance and a public order offence.

Jordan Ganner, 34, is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 18 October (Nub News).

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On the evening of Sunday 24 September, a call was made to police stating a white Ford van had hit a parked car on Bradfield Road. The driver appeared to be drunk. 

"Response patrol officers made to the location, and the driver had fled on foot.

"A member of the public gave chase but the driver had threatened to assault him.

"Officers searched and found the male hid at Heron Foods under a parked van.

"He will appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Thursday 19 October."
