A date has now been confirmed for when a UK clothing and homeware store will open its first ever Crewe store on the town's main retail park.

Matalan is set to open its doors on Crewe's Grand Junction Retail Park on Saturday 18 November.

The chain was approved for Crewe this March and will have a mezzanine floor measuring 484 square metres.

It is currently looking for part-time sales assistants.

A job description reads: "We have exciting opportunities for general sales assistants to join the team at our new Crewe store.

"This is a part-time role working four/ eight hours per week. You must be available to work evenings and weekends."

Matalan was founded in 1985 by John Hargreaves.
