A male cyclist has been taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries following a collision with an HGV in Crewe.

At 1.34pm today (Wednesday 9 June) police were called to a collision near the Duke of Bridgewater pub on Wistaston Road, Crewe, involving a cyclist and a lorry.

The male cyclist is believed to have suffered serious injuries and has been taken to Royal Stoke Hospital.

Officers remain at the scene to establish the circumstances of the collision and the road remains cordoned off.
